Rear-Transition-Modules

RTMs, the rear-transition-modules are merely analogue processing modules, which are placed in the back of the MTCA crate. The RTMs are connected via the Zone 3 connector to the AMCs in the front of the crate.
The rear-transition-modules are one of the differences between the MTCA.0 standard and the current MTCA.4 standard. The RTMs were added due to the need of analogue signal processing. Thus the mTCA system connects analogue and digital processing yet keeps it on seperate boards. This is convenient to the different development cycles of analogue and digital components.
